Embrace Today

Embrace TODAY. You must know where you came from and where you are going in order to completely embrace where you are at in this moment. Understand where you came from, but don't stay focused on the past. Instead take the lessons, the wisdom and the knowledge from the past with you. Learning from them is actually utilizing those lessons and applying them to your life now. That is evidence of growth & maturity.

Catch a glimpse of your future and get an understanding of where you are going, so that you can stay focused and stay on course. Knowing where you are going will be your guide and keep you on your path.

Most of all, fully embrace today. Get engaged in life as it is taking place all around us. Don't just barely get by or barely make it. LIVE. Things constantly change. People constantly change. Time changes. Pause for a moment, and embrace where you are. This moment, this exact time & this exact place in your life will never come again. Tomorrow is not promised. The next moment is not guaranteed. Whatever you are in, whether good or bad, slow down & take a moment to pause. Embrace Today. Today will never come again.

Inez’s love for reading and writing began with seeds planted by impactful educators in Oxnard, California—an early foundation that continues to shape her voice today.

I love the first words: Embrace TODAY. And then the third paragraph is an excellent explanation of why we have to love the day, today. So many people live longing for the past or always looking forward to whatever happens, but do not enjoy and focus the day they'd living.
