We are born into different situations - some great families, some horrible families and some without any family. The conditions that we are born into and the situations that we experience along the way have shaped and molded us into who we are today.  Many people like to give their advice and input on what we should be doing with our lives. Some people mean us well and others mean us harm. However, most make the mistake of trying to mold us into what THEY think we should be!  The "idea" of being a successful person has been characterized by looking a certain way, making a certain amount of money, owning the right house, driving the right car or holding the right job.

A common mistake that is often made is a person not being looked at as an individual, but as what the general public says all successful people look like.   When we look at a person as an individual, we will find out what that person's strengths weaknesses, passions and desires are. We can look at his or her personal characteristics and see who he or she is meant to be, not what we think or what others say he or she should be. From there we can build that person and prepare him or her for the arena that he or she can succeed in.  We should encourage others to do what they were made to do.

As that person we often strive to aim for what others call successful. So many times a person may go to school for something because he or she was told that being in that certain profession is the only way to go. Or a person is told to take a job for because of the money and although the person has a lot of money, he or she is still not happy or content.  Many times a person may try to look a particular way - be a certain size, have a certain hair color, eyes, nose, etc. - in order to be what is called beautiful.  Yet, if a person was not designed to be or do those things, he or she will not do it well or may always live with a sense of dissatisfaction.   A person should find out what he or she is good at, is passionate about and enjoys and study that subject. There are countless other jobs outside of being lawyers and doctors. There are other ways of making money. We don't think outside of the box because we were not trained to.

Who made the rules anyway?  Who was the one that said you had to have that certain job and make that amount of money to be happy and successful?  Are these people happy?  Or are they trying to make others live according to their rules and what worked for them?  Everyone is different. Happiness and success for one may not equal that for the next person.

Find out who you are. Find out why you think and believe what you do.  Get to know what what you are good at and what are challenges for you. Build on those things.   You were created the way that you are for a reason. You were fearfully & wonderfully made!  Discover who you are - not what society and others have said you are - but who you really are, and embrace it.
Be your best YOU!

Actually I read an article of yours in a local news paper. It is "Dominos" . My way of thinking is very much like yours. I would like to correspond with you through email. I too write in magazines and gave many talks on radio.
